Personal Statement
The hardships I have faced growing up made who I am today. Those things have made me mature as a student and athlete. Thanks to those events I see life differently and I take nothing for granted. I have been playing football since I was 7 years old and baseball since I was 3. I became interested in sports ever since I knew I could catch a baseball at the age of two. I also played soccer and basketball growing up too, but after a while I really started focusing on the other two sports I loved the most. I have learned that if you want something you have to work for it, because if it was handed to you everyone would be successful. Winning the SCISA 1A State Championship as a freshman has been the highlight of my high school career so far.
I have been blessed to have great people in my life along the way. I have been on many different teams from school ball, rec ball, to travel ball. Some coaches were great and some weren't so good, but I always took the positive from everything and everyone that has helped me. Sports has taught me to cherish those relationships with others and don't get too down if you make an error or fumbled the ball because there is always a chance to make a great play on the next thing that comes your way.
