Tyler Schadewald '16 Recruiting Profile

          I am a Senior at Lexington High School in Lexington, SC.  I currently am active in Football, Basketball and Baseball for my high school.  Sports have always been my motivator.  I started with soccer when I was four. The next season I moved on to t-ball, then basketball.  I started playing football when I was nine and had to choose to stop playing soccer, that was an easy decision because I loved football.

          I have always played sports year round to stay active and sports help motivate me in school and life.  My collegiate goals are to get an education and continue in sports.  I am still working on the life decision of my field of study and would like to make sure that I take the time to make the correct one.  I am a passionate athlete and play for the love of the game.  There is nothing like the feeling you get before a game. My parents have instilled in me that I get the strength to play sports from God above and I will remember that throughout my life.

          I am and will always be a team player, it doesn't matter what sport, activity or job I am doing nothing gets done without a little help. Being a 3-sport athlete has allowed me to understand the importance of team work in all different aspects even though it is nice to pat yourself on the back, you still have to remember how you got there.  I get asked all the time," How are you able to be 3 sport athlete?" my response is,"I just am, it is just what I do."  and that response it truly how I feel.  Sports are something that is just become a part of my life, they have defined me into the person I am today and I wouldn't have it any other way.
