Personal Statement
Throughout my football career, I have been able to demonstrate my athletic versatility as well as my leadership skills. I have been a starter on defense, offense and special teams since the 7 grade. As a freshman in high school I played in the running back position on the junior varsity team and continued through my sophomore year at Lexington High School.
I decided to transfer to a different high school which is an academic collegiate academy for my junior and senior years of high school. Here, I will have the opportunity to take more honors courses and as well as college courses through the University of South Carolina through this charter school. I will also be in a more competitive athletic setting with this being the only Nike Elite school in the state and drawing top athletes from around the state. Through smaller class sizes, competitive athletics and more rigorous classes I believe this change will better prepare me to be more successful at the next level. This change does require, given the district rules, for me to play a third year of junior varsity but I believe even given this I will be a better student athlete in the future.
For college, I am open to moving to various regions of the country. I plan to major in sports medicine or physical therapy.
