Personal Statement
There is nothing I love more than football. I am willing to put in the hours and work hard at whatever it takes to help me play better when I’m on the field. I have played quarterback since I was 8 years old and have continued to play it the rest of my career. I earned the starting position my freshman year and helped my team get to the playoffs. I tore my ACL two days before the first game of my sophomore year and the injury caused me to miss the season. I decided to not go out for any other sports that year so I could rehab and get back for football. My junior year I made the tough decision to move from Wall, SD to Sioux Falls, SD, so I could play 11 man football. I earned the starting quarterback position but re-tore my ACL in the first game. I didn’t want to miss another year so I rehabbed for four weeks and came back and played the rest of the season. My senior year was the most challenging year, due to having a new head coach and offensive coordinator. Despite throwing 5 touchdowns with no interceptions we lost our first two games of the season and I had another season ending injury in the third game of the year. I will continue to rehab and work hard because there’s nothing I want more then to be able to play football.
