I have been playing football since first grade and from the first time I stepped on the field, I was hooked. My dedication to the sport has taken me on an unconventional path from an 11-man youth league, to a sixman small private school team, and now to a 6A public school team. In the spring of my sophomore year, I transferred to Bellaire High School, a 6A public school, and immediately began workouts with varsity. Last year as a junior, I completed my first season at Bellaire HS as wide receiver, running back, and punter. This season I started at a new position, outside linebacker, earning all-district honors. I was also the starting punter and saw some playing time on offense as running back. I have thrived on the increased competition and take full advantage of every opportunity to be a contributing member of the team. At my last school, I was the starting running back and safety, and I helped to successfully lead my team to a state championship victory. My experiences in football have afforded me the opportunity to learn multiple positions on both sides of the ball, making me a more versatile player. My goal is to play football at the college level, while earning a degree that will help prepare me for a future in Business or Law. I believe in being both a well-rounded individual, as well as a well-rounded player. In both academics and athletics, I constantly strive to learn and improve. I have the ability to take instruction and implement it immediately into my game. I believe in the value of hard work and strong fundamentals. I aim to be a leader and to always lead by example, pushing myself beyond what is expected of me and reaching the high standards that I set for myself.
