Personal Statement
My collegiate goals and aspirations are to go to and study and become a high school history teacher and become a high school football coach so I can teach young men like me what it takes to become the best student athlete they can be and teach them responsibility in becoming a young adult and how to take care of themselves for when they get out of high school. At the end of my collegiate career I want to feel that I've done everything I could to be successful at football and academics. What makes me a good candidate for a team is that I'm a hard working athlete, I always have a open ear and am willing to try and learn new things or a different way of doing things. I always go a hundred percent in practice, the weight room and during field workouts. What makes me different from other recruits is I put in extra work outside of my normal school practices. Things I do are: I go to extra strength workouts at the gym, I go to parks and do footwork and work on my forty yard dash time by running with a parachute, and I do cone drills. My quarterback and I work on route running together so we can get our timing down. I love the sport of football because it gives me a chance to push my limits and battle adversity at a physical level. My academics are most important, from the start of playing football I've learned the saying "student athlete". I've had opportunities to choose other things over my academics but I chose my schooling as my priority because without good grades you cant do nothing on the football field. I'm always keeping track of what my grades are so I can be out on the field. I understand I can not play football at the next level if I slack off on my school work that's why I choose to study for a test rather than other non school/football related activities.
