Personal Statement
I am currently a member of the National Honor Society and my near term goal is to graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA or higher. Also I, along with my local Church, feed the homeless on the third Sunday of the month as a way of giving back to the community. After graduating high school my goal is be a D1 Collegiate football player majoring in the field of biology and later becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon. I envision my college years to be filled with personal growth. On the field, I am a defensive team captain and I assist in the development of other linebackers on the team. Throughout my life I have gone through many ups and downs, but those obstacles have helped create the character I possess today. My parents have pushed me in ways that have helped me grow and overcome any problems such as dealing with adversity and never giving up. I have also learned that become the best at any sport is not easy and takes perseverance to become great. Over the past few years I have experienced injuries playing sports and, while recovering, spent my down time focusing more on academics. I have been told that I am a very compassionate and humble person which will greatly help me as an Orthopedic surgeon because I have been through a number of the injuries that my patients will endure. I enjoy learning and teaching others who need assistance while encouraging others when things get rough.
