I am a student athlete. I have grown up in a house with a mother who is an elementary school principal and a grandfather who was a medical school professor. So, obviously academics are extremely important to me. I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. I have worked hard to maintain a “B” average in middle school and continue to strive for high grades as I progress through high school and eventually college.
Playing sports runs in my family. My dad was a football player, my mom played basketball and my sister is a swimmer. I started playing football believe it or not when I was four years old. It was a flag football team and I played center. I have played for several different basketball leagues as well. I have been swimming competitively since I was four too. Swimming has kept me flexible for all the other sports. My last two years in middle school I played football, basketball and have even thrown shot-put and discus for the track team but my love is football.
I began playing tackle football at seven years old. I have been a member of several All Star Teams as well as Select Football Teams. I have played every position on the offensive line and defensive line. I understand how both offense and defense run on the field. I am relied on as starting center to guide my teammates. I have been told I am very coachable. I look forward to the rest of my high school career but even beyond that I want to play for a college team. I am a student athlete.
