To My Coaches & Interested Colleges:
Who I am:
I'm a leader, a hard worker, disciplined, goal oriented, honest, humble and a young man who believes in GOD! I set high standards for myself expecting improvement everyday. I am my worst critic. I hope finding in my teammates brotherhood and an even better relationship with my coaches. I respect football with all my heart and always give more then required. I'm the guy that will fight until the end, regardless of the score board and expect the same from my team. My coaches will always be able to find in me team motivation and support when and where most needed. At my age I have seen how life can send trials our way, though it's the person within who determines the outcome. "Will you fight or will you lay down and die ?" Is a motto I motivate myself with everyday when beginning my day.
In addition to sports, I also participate in Power lifting & Wrestling. I want to attend a college where my education is as important as my athleticism. I'm the youngest of 6 children where I am the second to graduate high school and hoping to be the first to graduate college. My hard working ethics and morals were instilled in me from my parents. I've seen them work 10 years straight with no time off! My parents have owned a family diner since 2001, where the locals eat and fill their palets ! Now my parents also get their ethics from my grandparents who migrated here from another country. Either one of my parents graduated college, but it has never stopped them from living their dream to become something different, not just a statistic. November 2012, was the most difficult time of my and my parents lives. We almost lost my sister in a vehicle accident. She had 14 surgeries, face reconstruction, a head injury, and broke over 50 bones in her body. Watching my parents work to fight and keep the family and business together and still become my sisters care taker was a miracle to be apart of and not once giving up! I too, had my own daily responsibilities that I had to help my sister in recovery. I would come home from school to help her into the wheelchair, carry her into the car for doctor appointments and place her into the shower for her daily hygiene. This was the hardest for me...to see her like this, but we made it through with God's grace. So I will end on this note, every night I remember my moms voice, “ Son, God will always honor a mans hard work."
