Personal Statement

My name is Alex Wise and I am a 6'2" senior attending Brennan High School in San Antonio, Texas. I am a dedicated, respectful, committed and hard-working young man who gives a 100% every day on the field, off the field and in the classroom. I currently maintain a 3.5 GPA and even excel in my pre- AP subjects. During my junior year, I was unanimously selected to All District 1st team. This season, I have been selected to play in the Blue-Gray game representing the West, which will be held at Cowboys stadium on December 17th. I have also been selected to participate in the 2018 San Antonio Sports All-Star football game on January 6, 2018.

Jimmy V. Once said, "Never give up! Failure and rejection are only the first step to succeeding." As the youngest of three boys, I have always been very competitive. Failure is not an option for me! I continue to push myself to do better every day. During my freshman year, I was one of the captains on the 9th football team where I played wide receiver, quarterback, running back and linebacker! I also played JV basketball and ran track. I believe in giving back and I am very active in my church and currently serve as a Children's Church teacher and also helped to box food to feed over 10,000 kids in Haiti. 

I currently play wide receiver on the Varsity football team and am on the Varsity basketball team. I have started on Varsity football and Varsity basketball since my sophomore year.  I am very capable of competing at the collegiate level. After watching my highlights; I look forward to speaking with you to see how my skills would benefit your program.

  • Squads will be arriving on Saturday morning December 16th for uniform and helmet fitting and hotel room assignment. There will be practice at 2:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday evening there is a Media Dinner where the All-American's are presented their East or West Game Jersey at the DFW Marriott South. Media photos will be taken of each recruit at that time. The game will be carried by the new Impact Football Network and streamed across the country. Game time at AT&T Stadium is 6:00pm on Monday December 18th.
