As my high school career comes to an end, I look back at the journey and realize the impact football has had on my experience. I have grown into a better athlete and student during the 4 years I have played football in high school. I have learned the importance of being a part of team and I have learned the importance of stepping up and leading when times are tough. Football is more than what you do on the field. It's what you learn in the classroom and being a good student. It's about what you learn in the film room about yourself and your opponents. It's what you learn in the trenches working and practicing everyday. It's about becoming a young man people can look up to because of my leadership and work ethic.
One of my favorite quotes is "Hard work beat talent when talent doesn't work hard." (Tim Tebow) I have the skills to contribute to my team each day. But contributing is not enough! I want to work harder than the competition so I get better. As I get better I will impact my team in a positive way. It is my goal to become a part of a program on the next level where I can make a difference every day, as a leader, team mate, and friend.
