Personal Statement
After experiencing three years of high school athletics, the most vital aspect of success that has become apparent to me is passion. Playing on an 11-2 team my freshman year, then dropping to 3-7 and later 2-8 my sophomore and junior years has given me the insight and knowledge of the difference between a team that wins and a team that loses. That difference is passion. Passion for the game, for getting better, and most importantly for your teammates- to not let the brother beside you down. I have that passion. Watching my brothers and I go from 11-2 to 2-8 is not something I can bear to see. I take pride in building relationships, finishing every rep, and going 110% as I know it will translate not only to wins on the football field, but also a better life outside the lines.
I am looking for a school that offers not only a great education, but also somewhere that has genuine people with whom I can build real relationships. Being on a team that I can call family is huge for me, as I am aware how much dedication being a college student-athlete demands, and how much time I would spend with my team. I truly believe I would benefit whatever team I'm on not only athletically, but as a leader and in ways that translate outside the lines.
