Personal Statement
My Name is La'Quavis Reshaud Jones but I prefer Quay Jones, I graduated in 2017, and I am currently a college student at Austin Peay State University pursuing a Social Work degree. I have played one year at Thomas More University in 2018, and I am seeking to join a Football Program as a Grad Student after I earn my Bachelor's Degree in December 2021. I feel that I can contribute to any team because I am a Team Player, Hard Worker on and off the field, and I am very coachable. I don't take for granted that there is much more to learn about the game of football but I retain an acceptable football I.Q. but realize that there is always room to grow and willing to learn more to increase my knowledge and skill to compete at the next level. I still have plenty left in the tank, and I would be glad to be apart of a Football Program that I can help win. My goal is to obtain my degree, continue my education, and play football at a program that is willing to give me the opportunity to showcase what I can do.
I am different from other recruits because of the experience and worth ethic that I bring in the classroom and on the field. I can do it all, I am always focused and football ready. Academically, I am also receiving an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts in May 2021 along with pursuing a Bachelor's in Social Work in December 2021. I have playing the game of football. I have been playing football since age 5yrs. old and I have had the privilege of being coached by some of the best football coaches in the West Tennessee area. University of Tennessee standout defensive player Tyrone Hines just to name one.
I have attended Tennessee Vols Summer Football Camp at Neyland Stadium and competed in 7 on 7 drills, linemen challenge and various instructional technique drills under Coach Butch Jones. I have also attended The Vanderbilt University Summer Football Camp in Nashville TN. where I performed various speed, agility, footwork, hand drills & defensive attacks and tackling drills aimed at improving skills for linemen and defensive backs.
