Personal Statement
Hi how are you doing? I would like to take some time to introduce myself. Throughout my life I have always enjoyed engaging in physical activity, especially football. I am a junior and currently play as a center for West Side High School in Clarksville, TN. Although I am comfortable as center I am also very flexible and don’t mind being put in new positions both defensively and offensively, if that is what will help the team. Team building and team work are essential in life as well as in football. To me, having a good connection with my coaches both on and off the field is extremely important. I am easy to get along with. I would like to say I'm a quick learner, but it does take me time to learn new plays and positions. I like to lend a hand and help out my first coach when other players are struggling with plays or positions. This helps them to become better players and understand the true meaning of team building. I am very goal oriented on the field, at school and at work. I presently have a part-time job but aim to pursue a career in the medical field either as a physical therapist or an x-ray technician. There are times when other teammates do not take the weight room or practices seriously and this does frustrate me, but I won’t let it show. Workouts and healthy eating are important to me since I am five pounds away from my weight goal. I always try my best on and off the field.
