Personal Statement
Hi, I am Kyle McKee. I am a Senior at Henry County High School. I have also played baseball for many years. I will be starting again on Varsity team this year in the middle linebacker position. Where ever I was needed, I played. I enjoy lifting weights and working on learning new plays.
I started playing football in 6th grade for my dad's Pop Warner team. Then played my 7th and 8th grade year at Inman Middle School. My coach was Bob Markum. He was a big influence on my football career and interest. We won the Middle School Tennessee State Championship 3 years in a row my 6th, 7th, and 8th grade year. I was apart of the last two. I started my 8th grade year we went undefeated. Our freshman football team was also undefeated with an 8-0 record. I was a starter at fullback and middle linebacker. At the end of our season, I dressed out for the varsity. I had some playing time at my positions. I participated in the playoffs and was on the State Championship for 5A team in TN and received a Championship ring which was a memorable experience. It was the first State championship for our team. Our varsity team went 15-0 my Freshman year. My sophmore season I played in middle linebacker position. We went 8-3 that 2012 season. My junior season started in the middle linebacker and played some defensive end. We won our second State 5A championship with a record of 15-0 again.
I just completed my senior year playing varsity football. I was the starting middle linebacker and played blocker for punt kicker. I ended my season as the second leading tackler on the team with a total of 82. We won the District 10 5A Championship for the third year in a row. Our season ended in the Third Round of the state playoffs. I was named "Best Linebacker" in District 10 in the State of Tennessee. I am proud to be a part of my senior class posting a record of 58 wins and only 5 losses during our high school career. As Coach Counce said "not too bad for bunch of country boys".
Academically, I currently have a 3.56 GPA and just recently retaken my ACT (a waiting results).
Over the last few years, I realized that this is the sport for me. My coaches give me compliments and say I have good talent and great potential. Which is why I signed up for NCSA. I plan to work hard, keep all A's through school, and attend a good college. And even play football after high school. Football is a big part of my life and I want to soon be able to take it to the next level of competition, and I am very competitive player.
