My name is Noah Bush and I am a 6-2 225 lb class of 2017 linebacker at Athens (TX) High School. My football team competes in the Texas state 4A-1 classification. This past season, for the second consecutive year, I led the team in total tackles (151). In both my 2014 and 2015 football seasons, I was selected to All-County and All-District Teams along with being named County Defensive Player of the Year in 2015 and County Sophomore of the Year in 2014. In 2015, I was also selected to the ETSN.fm East Texas Football Super Team. My head coach has stated publicly that he believes that I have the potential to be one of the best linebackers in the state by the time I finish my high school career.
I am known by my coaches and teammates as a player with an intense work ethic, putting in many training hours each week outside of school time. My focus over the next year in high school is to continue earning the trust and confidence my coaches have in me. I will be a team leader by my actions and by my words doing whatever is required to help my teammates achieve success. Through countless hours of hard work, I plan to perform at an elite level on the football field and in the classroom.
In my remaining time in high school, my goal as a student-athlete is to display the type of football talent, academic achievement, and leadership traits that will attract the interest of college football programs at the highest level. As a college football player, I would bring a dedication to both athletic and academic excellence. The football coaching staff could have confidence that I would represent the university as a person with strong character and have a desire to be a loyal and committed teammate. I would be a very coachable athlete with a lot of upside potential, the type of high-achieving player a football program can count on.
I believe I can use my opportunities in football to positively influence others. As a college athlete, my intention would be to find ways to serve the team, the university, and the surrounding community.
Thank you for considering me as a potential candidate for your football program.
