Playing football has been a journey of valuable experiences that I’ll take with me forever. Every game brought challenges that taught me something new about life. Throughout the season this year, my teammates and I endured injuries, illness, played games that were not our best, and experienced the frustration of getting an unfair penalty call by the referee. From football, I have learned the value and rewards of hard work. I have learned that the team comes before individual talent, and that winning comes from dedication, cohesiveness and consistency. Football has taught me how to work harder, run faster and to persist even when the odds are against me. I have learned from playing football that exceeding expectations is more thrilling than anything.
