Personal Statement
I am a highly motivated football player with a sincere passion for the game since I started playing in the 4th grade. I am an athlete first, a position player second. I have played TE and slot receiver on offense, kickoff returns and punt block on special teams . On defense I have played DE, DT, OLB and NG. I have numerous sacks, strip sacks, tackles for a loss and quarterback hurries on defense and catches, touchdowns and pancake blocks on offense. Since the end of my last High School season, I have concentrated on getting faster and stronger.I also accepted a scholarship to Fork Union Military Academy to play in their PG football program.
My high school team just won the SPC State Championship my senior season; and we won State in my Sophomore year. I also made the SPC All South team. I have been named to the Dave Campbell's Texas Football "Texas Top 300" recruits and the Randy Rodger's Texas Top 300--both at LB. I have been named to Vype's Metro Houston's "Top 100" list at LB. I recently made the Houston Touchdown Club's Preseason Private School All-Greater Houston High School team at TE. I was invited and participated in both the US Army National Combine and the NFL Prep 100 camps. I am also a Top Gun alumnus at FBU.
I can catch, run, block, and tackle. I have a combination of speed, agility, and strength that I use to play these multiple positions. I am a very coachable player who likes to improve my skills every practice. I have been chosen by my coaches to be on our players’ council. I see my role on the council as trying to improve the bond between my coaches and the players.
I played on both of my High school’s 7 on 7 teams the last two summers. Both summers we qualified for the Private School Texas State tournament. By winning our region, my team was the first in school history to go to the Public School State tournament last year and we made it to the Quarterfinals this year.
I am passionate about football and I have dedicated myself to improving as an athlete and excelling in the classroom.While at Fork Union, I am looking for a college football program where my football skills and scholastic goals would be a "good fit."
