Cody Elenz '11 Recruiting Profile

I'm a 6,4 and a half 288lb offensive guard. In 2007 I started playing tackle football for the first time. But shortly after my freshmen year and the start of my sophomore year I stared to develop and pretty soon through my persistent, hardworking, and can do attitude I was passing the top kids in my class. My coaches realized that I was a very coachable and intelligent football player as well as gifted academically. So they moved me to the offensive-line, and after my second year when I was a junior I had all ready received 1st team all district, 1st team all area, and 1st team all district academics. Senior year I received 1st team all state academic, 1st team preseason all state, and number 9 out of the top 25 offensive linemen in the state of Texas as well as ranked 165th overall football player in the state of Texas. I was a leader from the day I started from leading by example to helping out players individually with academics and football drills. I show hard work and dedication through excelling in academic success (ranked 10 in my class), football success (two time 1st team all district, preseason all state, ranked in the state), and off the field success (NHS, volunteer work). I would like nothing more than to continue my love for football by going to a Division I college. I believe with my high morals and work ethics I would bring competitiveness and make an impact on the team.
