Personal Statement
Since 7th grade I played QB in football. During my Junior year, my coach moved me to WR on offense and CB on defense, based on my size and athletic ability. I had never really played defense before, but soon studying receivers, intercepting passes, deflecting balls, and making tackles became extremely rewarding. Even better was the feeling that my coach was able to match my strengths (size and quickness) to a position that could better the team. I am anxious to see how much better my Senior season can be after another year of personal training and weights.
I have always enjoyed excelling in sports. Excelling at a new position in football last year and achieving personal goals was a great feeling. School is something that I have always excelled at. I am an "A" student and my goal has been to maintain a GPA of 3.5 or better while still being very active in extracurricular activities. I am active in my church youth ministry and am also involved in a local mission projects. I believe God has a plan for my life and part of that plan is for me to glorify Him in all that I do.
College is important to me because it is the next step toward a successful business career. I would like to attend a college that challenges my thinking, but also allows me to play football at the highest competitive level possible. My parents are great role models, so my goal is to exceed their expectations in everything I do in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
