Personal Statement
I am a 6'1" junior from Wakeland HS in Frisco, TX. I am a versatile athlete, playing and lettering in 4 varsity sports by the end of my sophomore year. Football is the sport I'm committed to and the one I want to play in college. I led my middle school and freshman teams as quarterback with only 1 loss in 3 seasons. I made the varsity team as a sophomore, converted to wide receiver and started every game. As a junior and senior, I played wide receiver, cornerback and was the back-up quarterback. I work hard and am focused; I am an intuitive player and stay calm under pressure. A comment I've heard many times over the years is that I am very coachable. My cummulative weighted GPA is a 3.63. I scored 1500 on the SAT and 23 on the ACT. I retook the ACT in October and am waiting for the results.
I am looking for a school with great athletic tradition as well as an excellent academic reputation. I want to play football at the highest level possible, contributing my skills on the field early in my college career. My academic goals include an education that will lead to a career involving coaching and/or sports management. I'm interested in schools in the midwest region of the country but I'm open to all opportunities.
