Benjamin Milliet '15 Recruiting Profile

As you evaluate my profile and my film I want to highlight a few facts that might not be noticed or known by those not in Central Texas.

MY school is in Texas District 25-5A, one of, if not, the strongest 5A districts top to bottom in Texas.  If you watch my video you will see me on offense, and defense.  In 2014 I am both the starting fullback and outside linebacker for our program.  We run an up tempo offense so as fullback I often slide out to line up a wide receiver, or slot receiver.  In addition to starting on offense and defense, I also play on Punt, Punt return, all FG / PAT attempts and Hands team for Kick Return.  In fact during the first 2 games, I even played on Kick return but all that meant was I never came off the field.  Now I at least get to rest on Kick off and Standard Kick return.  A typical game for me has me on the field for 160 snaps in a position that demands contact every single time.

Another often overlooked fact is that I am only 17.  I have a very late birthday and in fact won't even turn 18 until after my high school graduation.  That means I will enter college with room to grow and develop.  So if you are looking for a fully developed high school senior that fits all your criteria now, check the next guy.  If you want a College player that will be able to meet all your criteria and is this good as a 17 year old youngster, send me an email and let's talk.

I come from a family of 4 boys and 1 girl.  My parents are outstanding role models, as well as my grandparents. My one true goal in life is to live a life as great or greater than the one they have provided for all of us kids.  We have all been involved in sports and academics since we were old enough to run.  My parents instilled in us the value of family.  The rule at the Milliet House is "Everyone attends Everyone's Events".  It has taught me Family First and how to be supportive of the things each of us do.  It has also taught me how important it is to work hard and do your very best.  My family is very competitive and if you think the local press is a hard critic, wait until your 11 year old little brother asks you why you didn't pick up the corner blitz when the pre snap read had the safety shading over the short side of the field.  It's a tough crowd but I wouldn't change a thing about it.

As I move forward I want to continue to set the bar higher for my younger siblings and I want to push myself to be better than all those around me.  I have always been a team player and have a will to win that is best shown by actions not words.  I put team first and will demand others to be better than they were yesterday.

When I finish college, I would enjoy attending med school and concentrate on orthopedics.  I have seen many sports injuries and I love the thought of being able to help those guys out in a career that sets the bar high for the rest of those behind me.
