Personal Statement
I am an All State Pro style Quarterback from Texas with strong decision making skills and a very accurate passer; however I can run too when required. I led our team to a 19-1 record as a Varsity starter with my only loss coming in the Texas 4A-D1 State Championsip game where I threw for 318 yards and 3 TD's and also rushed for 60 yards. I spend a lot of time studying film, working on my skills outside of regular practice and communicating with my coaches.
I earned the starting Varsity QB position during spring practice of my sophomore year. I was voted a team captain and elected to leadership council as a Junior by my teammates and again in my Senior year. I am a leader both on and off the field. I enjoy being around my teammates, helping them improve and win as a team. I have earned various individual awards including: 1st Team AP All State 4A QB, 17-4A Unanimous All District MVP, All State Player of the Year from the Padilla Texas Coach's Poll, Central Texas Player of the Year, Max Preps Austin area Capital One Bank High Yield Student Athlete of the Year, and twice voted Academic All District my Jr and Sr year.
After a strong start in my Junior season in high school I suffered a seaon ending injury in the 4th game and fell under the radar in recruiting. Because of this situation I now plan to attend a prep school in the fall of 2013 and will be available to enroll in college in the Spring 2014 semester.
I am open to going to any college with a strong program as long as I have the opportunity to compete for the QB position. I desire to play at the D1-A level. I plan to study business or engineering in college because of my math and analytical skills. My goals do not stop at simply going to college and playing football, I desire to be a starter, a leader and to help lead the team to win and succeed. Wherever I play I want to be respected by my coaches and teammates, and I want to make a positive impact on the team, the school and the community.
