Personal Statement
I first started playing football at 5 years old for KYF on the same team as my older brother and I have been playing in some capacity ever since. I immediately knew this was the sport for me, from the on-field action to the side line anticipation. As my knowledge of the sport increased, so did my love for the game. I am always working to improve my skills. I spend both scheduled time and part of my free time training to get bigger, faster and stronger. I am always there to cheer on and encourage my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. I attend an extremely competitive high school, as such I have to stay focused and committed to my studies to maintain a high GPA. I look forward to volunteering at my high school summer SAC camps upon graduation. Additionally, my enjoyment of math and science as well as the oil and gas focus in the Katy area has led me to an interest in chemical engineering. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the football field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. Being one of the younger athletes on the team at 16 years old (and younger students in my grade), I believe can be an asset in college. By red-shirting my first year, I can add an extra year of development and growth to my college football career benefiting both me and my team. In the end, my primary goal is to become a better athlete, student, citizen and to make my family proud.
