Personal Statement
I am a 5' 11" linebacker from Odessa, Texas attending Permian High School. I will be graduating in 2016. In 2014 I was nominated MVP Defensive player for the Permian Basin as well as being selected as 2nd Team All District Linebacker and 2nd Team All State Linebacker. My overall stats for my 2014 Junior season were 164 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 1 return for a touchdown. In 2013 as a sophomore my first starting game against Abilene I was nominated MVP defensive player of the game with 9 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery. Overall for my 2013 Sophomore season I started the 4th game and had 82 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 1 interception, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 forced fumble for the season. The previous summer of 2013, I participated in the Mean Green Football Camp, and the O-D Camp in Austin Texas; I also participated in O-D Camp for the 2014 summer. Both summers while at O-D Camp, I was nominated as MVP and got invited to participate in the week long activities for the "High School Showcase" 2014 & 2015 All-American Bowl in Orlando, Florida at the Citrus Bowl Stadium. I was able to attend and participate in the 2014 “High School Showcase,” held in Orlando, Florida over the New Year holiday. Going into the 2015 season with Permian I hope to be quicker, stronger, and beat my current season total tackles.
I am looking for a University where I will get a higher education with a strong field in business and management. I give 100% to improving myself on and off the field. My goal is committing myself to contribute to the team, and representing my school to the fullest.
