Personal Statement
I love all sports but football just runs deep in my veins. I have been passionate about this sport as long as I can remember. Everything I do is to make me a better football player. I started my freshman year playing basketball but soon switched my sophomore year to wrestling with the goal only to make me a better football player. I plan on a state wrestling title this year but my intentions still are focused on football. My greatest attribute is that my heart will outshine my size. I have a no-quit attitude that is contagious. I started on the varisty football team as a freshman, playing line-backer, fullback and deep snapper. I received the outstanding freshman award. My sophomore year I was voted team captain and achieved first team All-region and Honorable Mention All-state while also winning the team defensive MVP. My junior year, I followed up with Defensive MVP and team captain as well, making it three years as team captain as I start into my senior year.
Living in a town where football typically struggles, I have always remained positive and my love for the sport has been contagious. It's easy to be positive and love the sport when everything goes your way but I've been able to persevere, remain positive, be a leader and love the sport even when seasons and schedules have been rough. I am a driven leader, hardworker, with a never-quit attitude, thats very goal-oriented and well- rounded. I have been a part of our high school baseball team and the Helper Legion team that has taken state the last 2 years. I have lettered in football 4 years, wrestling 3 years, and baseball 3 years. My grades have been of utmost importance to me as I have maintained a 3.9 GPA while doing multiple sports and taking all honors or AP classes and maintaining High Honor student status and a National Honors Society member. I am also an active member in my community as I just earned my Eagle Scout award. I am so passionate about football that I refuse to let my senior year of high school be my last time I put on a helmet. I hope it's only the beginning to another amazing chapter in my life.
