Keolalani Palau '16 Recruiting Profile

I would like to study architectural engineering to hopefully have a career in city development and design. I have always been a hard working person having made the honor roll every quarter since 4th grade while playing athletics and traveling with those teams. Right now, as a junior, I travel over 40 miles each way to school and still maintain my GPA over 3.4. Right now I am able to drive, but for the first year and a half, I traveled by train and bus to get to and from school.
Having been faced with adverse situations in the past, I have learned to use those experiences to fuel my drive to succeed and prove anyone wrong who may have doubted me or wished me ill. I believe that my experiences in life, seeing family and friends pass before their time, and taking what opportunities have presented themselves to me over the years give me the character to succeed in any collegiate academic and athletic program. I am independent, self-motivating, and believe that I am here to give back to the world that has given me so much.
