Coach, thanks for looking at my profile.
My name is Joe Addison III, Athlete, Slotback, and Quarterback, Class of 2015. I am a Senior (2015 GPA 4.08 A Honor Roll, 2014 GPA 3.34 A/B Honor Roll, 2013 GPA 3.04, A/B Honor Roll.
“Joe has one of the best sets of hands on the team. It’s bigger than him being a manager. Joe can get out there and make plays. He’s a smart kid. He understands coverages and leverage, and things of that nature. He puts himself in a great position day in and day out.” (Jeremy Blunt, Phoebus Head Coach)
Coach, summer of 2014, I placed 1st in the East Coast Elite QB Showcase on Jul 30. Also, last spring I was recognized as QB MVP at 2014 Hampton Roads National Underclassmen Combine; Top 2015 Offensive Performer at the 2014 NUC 5 Star Showcase; top performer at Richmond VTO Combine receiving an invite to the Rivals Camp Series; one of top 5 quarterbacks at the VTO Elite 100 receiving an invite to Charlotte VTO Top Performers event; recognized as a top QB at Jim Cantafio’s SVS QB Camp earning an invite to the East Coast Elite QB WR Showcase; and recognized as one of top 3 quarterbacks at the National Football Academies QB camp receiving an invite to compete in “The Duel” quarterback competition. Last summer, I also represented my school at the 2014 American Legion Boys State of Virginia Program.
After high school, I hope to play for a school (regardless of size or division) as an Athlete, QB, or Receiver where I can pursue a Business degree (Economics or Marketing) and where I can use my leadership, athleticism, skill, and competitiveness to help win games.
Freshman and sophomore years, I was the backup varsity quarterback at Hampton High School. My junior year, I became the starting QB for Phoebus High after transferring from Hampton. This year, I start for Phoebus at slotback. I am trained, athletic, and effective. I have great QB fundamentals, a strong accurate arm, sound throwing mechanics, and great feet. I received multiple QB awards. I was awarded 2013 and 2014 National Underclassmen Combine QB MVP (Hampton Roads), won 2nd place in the 2013 East Coast Elite QB Showcase. I have also had camp awards for work ethic, leadership, and skill level including 2012 QB MVP (Freshman) at Mike London UVA QB Camp. I have been trained by Darin Slack, Jeff Trickey, the late Joe Krivac, and Jim Cantafio (QB Coach for the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game).
My personal goals are to be a better student, leader, and teammate. My faith and church are also a big part of who I am. I have served in the music ministry as lead drummer, video ministry, and the “No Strings Attached” outreach ministry. I also play basketball. I am a well-trained PG having previously received a Wake Forest Camp MVP and AAU tournament MVP award. I have played varsity basketball since freshman year and have been playing AAU since I was 8. This is my 4th year playing on Boo Williams (BWSL) basketball team.
Thanks for viewing my profile. I hope to hear from you about attending and playing for your school.
