Personal Statement

Hello, this is Alex Callahan.  I have been cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center for D1.  I did not play football this past season.  However, I just successfully completed my first semester at Radford University and am looking to transfer and play football this fall (2012).  Radford does not have NCAA team.

I am a running back, all-purpose back and kick returner. I am 5'11" 190 and consistently run a 4.5 40. I just completed my senior nine (9) game season. I scored 18 TDs, including 2 kickoff returns of 80 and 83 yards. I had 936 yards rushing and caught 20 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown. I am a two year varsity started and had 887 yards rushing and scored 11 rushing TDs in 8 games as a Junior. I am a leader and served as a Team Captain this season. I was recently voted Most Valuable Offensive Player by my coaches and teammates.  I was named 2nd Team All State in 2010 and Honorable Mention in 2009.  I was named All MAC Conference Running Back for 2009 and 2010. I outwork everyone on my team and lead by example. I want to be the best and my goal is to play college football. With that in mind, I attended 5 one days Senior camps and a team football camp as well. I would like to play in the following geographic areas: East, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and the Midwest. I am majoring in Business Management. I am very open to different types and sizes of schools. I would love contribute as a Freshman, play at the highest level of competition and to make a positive impact on my team. I will work hard in the classroom and on the field to be the best I can be. I am a inner, very coachable and am willing to do whatever it takes to win.  All I need is the opportunity.

I can be reached at [email protected] and on my cell phone at 502-553-1217.

Thank you,

Alex L. Callahan
