Personal Statement
I am passionate about football and every aspect of the game. My desire is to pursue a college education while playing football and one day coach at the highest levels of the game. My strength comes from the Lord who makes all things possible. I know He made me with a plan and purpose and my goal is to walk out the path He has set for me. I believe my passion and intensity for the game comes from Him and He has blessed me with the intangibles of the game; the ability to have a keen insight and knowledge of the game and a desire to pay attention to details and work on the fundamentals of each position I am assigned. My desire and passion for football, my leadership skills, work ethic, attention to the fundamentals of the game, my character, my athletic ability and reliable hands as well as my desire to do what's best for the team are assets that I believe would be of value to your program. I would love to talk to you about how I can help your football program attain it's goals. I am one of only two players who have started and played at the varsity level for Woodgrove HS since my Freshman year and am a leader on and off the field. My desire is for my team to win and I have played wherever my team has needed me which has included Safety, Corner, Outside Linebacker, Tight end, Wide Receiver and Special Teams. My High School team is in it's 4th year of existence and finished the 2013 Regular Season 7-3 and Dulles District Champions. We finished the season 9-4 having made it to the 3rd round of 4A Virginia State playoffs for the first time in school history. Although we fell short of our goal to win a state Championship, I am proud of what this team has accomplished in four short years. I have helped my team build a solid and strong foundation and set the bar high for all future Woodgrove Football players. I challenge myself on and off the field and had a 3.64 in season this fall and 3.39 overall GPA and take AP and Dual Enrollment classes. I can assure you; I have a high football IQ, am a quick learner, hard worker and will do my job and do it well for you. You will not regret signing me to your program.
