My name is Tazle Sumpter and I am junior at St. Christopher's School in Richmond, Virginia. I am interested in a college that has a strong academic program and a competitive athletic program. My goals are to pursue a sports medicine degree as well as to play football. Football was the first sport I ever played. Needless to say I fell in love with it. Continuing to gain all that I can from football at the next level means more to me than than anything else except academics.
I am a leader on my team. It is important to me to bring intensity to all facets of the sport including practices, games and film study. Our team can count on me when they need motivation and performance at all times. I can play every position on the offensive and defensive line and give all my effort on every play.
It is important to me to remain a coachable player and a quick learner. I am a player that will put my team before my own personal goals. St. Christopher's School and my teammates know that they can depend on me to do whatever it takes on the field, in the weight room, or for film study to make us all a better team.
As a multi sport athlete I utilize the different skills learned in other sports. Wrestling has taught the grappling and manhandling involved on the line. Shot put and discus has taught me balance and hand speed. I am accepting, open, eager and hungry to learn even more on the collegiate level.
