I am the kicker/punter for my high school team. I also played free safety position this year and lead my team in tackles. We had our last game of the season last week, I had a great season. I average 40 yards punting with a hang time of 4.2. I truly believe i can be a duel threat kicking/punting in college. I juts got invited to play in the FCA All-Star game. I am looking forward to playing in the game.
I have grown up in Bridgewater, VA, and for the past 4 years have been coached by JMU's former kicker, Ryan Maglio. I also have been working with Coach Jimmy Howell former UVA punter for punting. This extra work I have put into my kicking and punting gives me a competitive advantage. My academic strengths are in math and science. I am interested in the medical field and possibly interested in the Nursing program. I have a 3.1 GPA and I am hoping to bring that up this year.
What the coaches have to say: Shannon Lowry attended the Showcase Camp in the spring of 2017. Lowry has an athletic frame on which he can develop in the years to come. Shows talent in his ball striking ability, the key for improvement will be continued experience. Jamie Kohl "Shannon has a great leg. This was his 2nd event and he did great! He is constantly working at his craft to get better. He will be a solid college recruit this season!!" Coach Todd Covington Ryan Maglio former James Madison Kicker says Shannon has potential, so long as he puts in the necessary work: “If he works hard, then there’s no ceiling for him.” |
