I am a student athlete, a leader, strive for academic achievement, set an example for others to follow, arrive early and stay late for practice, a student of football, have personal character on and off the field, and love the game. As a student athlete, I have a personal responsibility to uphold these characteristics and do my part to make sure my coaches can focus on preparing myself and teammates for football on the field. Football has been my primary sport, others have come and gone, but football has been constant in my athletic career for 12 years. My desire is to continue my play at the next level.
I have been fortunate to have disciplined parents and coaches who have guided and mentored me over the years. I continually seek greater challenges on and off the field and am prepared for college. The next level of academics and athletics for me will require a college that continues my advancement and make sure I will achieve my long term life and career goals.
I started a limited number of Varsity games my Sophomore year and started my Junior year at Guard and special teams. I was a team captain my Sophomore year (J/V). My father is 6'4" and mother is 5'8". I am at 6'2" (as of December 2017) and 225 lbs. I do strength and conditioning training every day have continued since the end of my Senior season. I am responsible for my development at this point, no one else, and am working hard to provide my coaches with multiple options for me next year. My team needed a dependable Guard and I accepted this role without complaint. I did play on kick-off returns and some defensive plays. I am interested in other positions such as Tight End, Linebacker, and DE.
As for my collegiate goals, I am looking for a university with an engineering or science program (biology). I am not limited to a geographical area, but am leaning towards the Eastern region of the U.S.
I want to continue to play football while earning my degree. My senior video demonstrates my continual improvement and growth since my junior year and I believe I have much more growing and development to go. Thank you for reading and I look forward to potential interest from your coaching staff.
