Jalen Elliott '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jalen Elliott and I am currently a sophomore with a 3.65 GPA in all advanced classes.  I love playing the game of football, but more than anything else I love winning.  I come into everything that I do with a winning attitude and I push every day to make myself and my team better.  I believe that I will bring a spark to any team that I play for. I am a born leader. I am vocal and I love to get my teammates involved.   I feel like my teammates play off of what I do and I love to motivate them. I get my motivation from coaches that have overlooked my abilities and talents to focus on other athletes that are not necessarily better than me, but have been more exposed than me.  I use this as fuel to outwork everybody.

I know that with continued coaching, good training and hard work I can play any skilled position on the field.  I love playing QB and any DB position. This year I also excelled at wide-receiver.  I have never been tied to one position during my football career which has earned me 1st team all utility honors and it has helped me become a flexible, quick learner.  I think the thing that makes me most different from other recruits is simply my passion and my will to work.

I love spending time with my family; I am the oldest of four children.  I am very involved in my community and I enjoy working with kids at school sports camps and volunteering at the YMCA.  It reminds me of the days as a little kid when I looked up to high school and college athletes.  My family and community involvement keeps me humble but also hungry to achieve great things.
