Personal Statement
Growing up, my parents have always instilled in me the importance of hard work and dedication. I know I must work hard in life to earn my way and achieve my goals. I realize education is extremely important for one to be successful. I study hard and apply myself in school ensuring I maintain a 4.0 GPA. My short term academic goal is to maintain all A's in high school. After graduation, I plan on earning an undergraduate degree in Political Science and then pursue my juris doctorate.
I believe I am a good candidate to play college football because I am a focused, driven individual. I set goals and work to achieve them even when things are difficult and challenging. For instance, before my freshman year, I knew I had to become stronger before my coach would consider me playing on the varsity football team. Every day I worked to become stronger and faster by lifting weights, running drills, and practicing footwork. Staying focused helped me achieve my goal, earning the starting right tackle position on the varsity team. I continued to work hard during the season and earned the starting defensive end position too.
I believe there is always room to grow in life and I will always strive to be the best on and off the field.
