Malcolm Lofton '17 Recruiting Profile

I started playing football in the 7th grade. My year was ended early after my leg break going into the 3rd week of practice. At the time i was starting over 8th graders at the outside linebacker postion. When I realized my speed and ability to read the defense at that position I figured that i'll just keep trying this football thing. I was dominantly a basketball player at that point in my life, but once i realized that i can just go all out and just have fun on the field I just fell in love with the game. I continue to play football until this day at the Varsity level as an 10th grader. I was always told by my mom that "If I'm going to do something, then don't waste your time. Put all that you have in it." Ever since then I've been pushing myself every season/offseason. I'm a great listener and very serious about what I do. I take what I'm told and taught and put it into my game, a little innovation never hurt anybody. I get a long with anybody well and I like to think of myself as a pretty all-around type of guy, that includes sport as well. I've played basketball for 7 years and done track for 2 years. I like to stay active because if im not bettering myself then someone else is for my position on the field.
