Thomas Mechling '17 Recruiting Profile

I want to attend a school that will help me attain my professional goals once I have graduated college. I am a good student. I have a 3.9 high school GPA. I am known for my work ethic, determination and leadership. I perform well under pressure. I am a very versatile athlete. I have had a strong desire to play college football ever since I was a young child. I have started on varsity since 9th grade. I was also elected as a captain in 9th grade. I have been elected captain by my team-mates every year since. I was chosen as the National Homeschool Athlete of the Week On 09-13-14 and the runner-up 3 additional weeks. I have led the team to 3 consecutive Mid-Atlantic Championships. I was selected for the NHFA 'National All-Star Team' in 2013, 2014 and 2015. We were 2013 runner-up to the National Championship, won the 2014 Panama City Florida Sun Bowl. Our team went 12-0 for an undefeated season in 2015 and the 2015 High School NHFA National Championship. I was selected as the game MVP and 2015 NHFA MVP. I ended the season with 2030 yards rushing, 273 yards passing, 52 tackles on defense, 1 interception, 1 sack. Averaged 46.8 yards punting with a long of 63 yards.
