Personal Statement
How would I describe myself? See my quote below:
“I Grind because I am a competitor and love to see all my hard work pay off. I play for God and do everything for his glory. I Grind for my family and to help set a good example for my younger brother and other kids who want to achieve their goals just like I do. I like to push myself to the limit and I love playing football. It is my passion. Playing football for Woodberry Forest is different than any other program and you want to play well for your teammates to the left and to the right of you. To play for the Tigers is very special and is a brotherhood we will all have forever. This is WHY I GRIND!"
I am a 6’2" Wide Receiver from Leesburg, VA. I started 5 games on the Loudoun County High School Varsity Football Team as a sophomore. Had 14 receptions for 206 yards. I have a 3.11 GPA and my favorite subjects are math and English. I transferred to Woodberry Forest School in 2016 in order to challenge myself academically and athletically and will graduate in 2019. I played WR for the Varsity team in 2016 and this year I play Safety and Special Teams, using my versatility as an athlete to support my team where I’m needed. I challenge myself in the classroom as well as out on the field and work hard in the weight room. My goal is to play college football and attend a school where I will get a great education. I have two interests to study in college: Criminal Justice or Sports Management/ Training and am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the field so I can give both my full focus and be the best I can be on and off the field. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team and where my abilities can be used for the good of the team. I believe my best fit would be at the DI or DII level, but I work every day to try to improve my skills to become a top D1 athlete and football player to compete at a very competitive Division I school. I also like to ski, play lacrosse, hunt, wakeboard, water ski, and mountain bike.
It is an honor to be part of the Woodberry Forest Football Team/ brotherhood. Go Tigers!
