My name is Andre’ Cumberbatch and I was born and raised in Redding, CA. I come from a military background as my father currently serves in the U.S. Navy. I have two younger brothers Tyree Booker who is 15 and Ramon Booker who is 13 and like me they both play football. I live with both my mother and father and I am very thankful for them. My parents are my inspirations and they’ve both worked very hard to instill positive values into my brothers and me. I cannot thank them enough. It has always been a huge dream of mine to have the opportunity to play football at the collegiate level. Although I am a California kid, I don’t have a particular preference of what city or state that I wish to play in as long as the institution puts academics ahead of athletics. It doesn’t matter to me if I am offered a D1 scholarship or a NAIA scholarship, as long as I have the opportunity to become a student-athlete at the collegiate level, I consider myself blessed. I want any and all coaching staff's who choose to recruit me to know that my studies and earning my degree mean more to me than anything so I take being a student-athlete very serious. I am a very committed and hardworking young man who loves the Lord, in me you will be getting a person of high character. I work hard on and off of the field and pride myself on doing the right things. I believe in being a team player as well as doing whatever my coaches need me to do for the better of the team. I am a very passionate player who never backs down from the competition no matter who I am playing against or what stadium I am playing in. When I step on the football field I believe that I am the best at what I do, I aim to be great. I am not a young man who will bring any negative press or baggage to your program or institution. As I stated before, I love the Lord and attend church as much as possible, I am a part of the H3D3 Teen and Bridge Team Ministries at my church Living Faith Christian Center in Oak Harbor, WA. I volunteer with the Oak Harbor Youth Football League as much as possible as well as assist with refereeing youth basketball games. Anytime I have the opportunity to give back to my community I do it. I have a very strong foundation in my parents, pastors, other church leaders and my coaches. If you were to ask anyone who was around me or instructed me during my summer football camps to those mentioned above what type of person you will be getting in Andre' Cumberbatch, they would let you know that I am one determined young man who will succeed on and off of the field. I hope that you all will take the time to get to know me and come to the conclusion that I will be a great fit for your program. Sincerely, Andre' Cumberbatch http://www.hudl.com/athlete/167169/highlights/21430374
