Personal Statement

My name is Kevin Flavin and I am a 2009 graduate of Oak Harbor High School in Washington State. For 9th and 10th grade, (while living in Colorado) I played varsity football and soccer during the same season (About 10 practices and 4 games per week.) Prior to my junior year my family moved from Colorado to Washington in which the seasons were separate. This has allowed me to give equal time to both, and has improved my kicking abilities tremendously. I have played soccer since I was 5 years old and began playing competitive year-round club soccer when I was 11. I love both sports but want to play football in college. I am willing to work hard to get into a good college where I can achieve both athletically and academically. I am offensively minded and am at my best when contributing points to a winning effort as a Kicker, Wide Receiver or Forward. The best college fit for me would offer secondary education, sports administration or criminal justice, and a coaching staff that will expect me to leave everything on the field. I am open to all options, and if there is anything you need from me please let me know. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
