Personal Statement
I just completed my Senior year of high school football where I was a two-way starter on the Varsity team. I started at safety and wide-receiver. I was also the primary punt and kick-off return specialist and led our team in punt and kick-off return yards.
I received 1st team All-Conference honors as a safety and 2nd team All-Conference as a wide-receiver. I was 4th in Conference with 73 total tackles; no other defensive back was in the top 10.
Currently I am playing Varsity basketball and will run track this spring.
My college goal is to play football at a top academic school.
I have a 4.0 GPA through my Junior year. Academic performance is as important to me as my athletic performance. I put as much, if not more, emphasis on my grades than I do on my athletic training.
In addition to my school work, team practices and outside work-outs, I am participating in National Honor Society, Science Honors Society, Math Honors Society, JOG Club and a math competition club. National Honor Society requires me to maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA throughout high school and to perform 15 hours of community service each year. JOG Club also requires 15 hours of community service as well as visiting and donating to local hospitals to help fund medical research.
