Personal Statement
Hello, Coach!
Thanks for viewing my profile!
I had a successful freshman season at Shasta College and we just won the Nor. Cal. State Divisional Bowl game. I played fullback and contributed on special teams. Throughout my football career, I have played running back and this past year I played fullback as we had a lot of talent at the tailback position and my coaches wanted to give me a chance to be on the field and I am transitioning back to the tailback position for my sophomore season. I am an NCAA/NAIA qualifier out of high school so I am able to transfer after this upcoming season without having to receive my AA and I will be looking forward to enroll in your school in the spring of 2017. I love football, period. My goal after Shasta is to attend a college where I can compete at the highest levels, both academically and on the football field and to also enroll in a ROTC program to help prepare me to serve my country in the Army after I complete my academic and football career. All of my preparation now is working toward that goal. I am doing good at Shasta College as I am getting a lot of pre-req classes out of the way. I continue to develop strength, footwork, speed and endurance, and I try to give back to my community with multiple volunteer efforts when I can find the time. I am very motivated, and I know that my leadership by example will have a positive influence on your team, both on and off the field. I would love to visit your school as well and get acquainted with the staff and players. I know that an opportunity like playing college football is not something that everybody gets, and I do not take anything for granted. I am determined that with enough hard work, sweat and determination, I will achieve my goals. As I have learned, anything worthwhile takes effort, and nothing is given to you - you earn it.
Thanks again for reading this and considering me for your team!
Peyton Spencer.
