Personal Statement

My name is Zachary Gartin, almost everyone I know just calls me Zach. Football has been a part of me for a long time, about 7 years now, and I would love to be able to add 4 more years to that number in college. I've played multiple sports, including soccer, wrestling, basketball, and baseball. However I've trimmed those sports down to my two main sports, track and field, and, of course, football. In track I am a middle distance runner, participating in the 400 and the 800. In my 7 years of football, I've played a little bit of everything, running back, fullback, quarterback, linebacker, and defensive end, but I've finally settled into Defensive back and wide receiver.

I try to push myself in school as much as possible, keeping my grades up and averaging a 3.75 GPA. I plan on getting that up in these next two years. I also take AP classes, and have taken the SAT three times, once in 7th grade, and once in 10th grade, and once in 11th grade, where I got a total score of 1820.

I am looking for a school that will provide an excellent education and offers an athletic training or journalism program. I would prefer a school that would allow me to come into school undecided and figure out where I would like to go. This school can be any size, any where in the nation.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
