I have always loved football. The sport just brings out who I am and I have the best time playing it. I am a person that is really nice to everyone in life and I respect everyone but when I step on that gridiron another animal comes out of me and it is all business. I got this mindset by watching Ray Lewis play in the NFL, he just turns into that beast on the field and flies around and hits people which is how I play my game. My Grandpa influenced who I am as a person today, he showed me that I need to respect everyone and treat them right.
I became interested in the sport by starting at a young age, I started paying in first grade and was always big enough to play up a grade and my dad saw that I could hang with the older boys so I always played up. I started getting serious about the sport when I saw and witnessed the whole recruiting process with my cousin Drew Clarkson. He went through testicular cancer and kept pushing and got 5 PAC 12 scholarships and went on to play at OSU on the offensive line. What I have learned by playing the sport is that once you step on that field then you flip the switch and fly around and hit people. I have also learned that you need to be stronghearted and thick skinned to play the sport.
My academic goals for high school is to graduate with nothing lower than a 3.5 and to go onto college and get a bachelors degree for a well paying job. In college I want to succeed in football and academics if I get a scholarship somewhere. I have had to overcome some obstacles to get me where I am today. One of the obstacles was that I use to be a little weak in the mind and a little scared to hit people. I overcame this by my dad being more hard on me and getting me to get that chip on my soldier like I have today. Some unique skills I posses is that for 230 pounds I can explode and move pretty good to make plays. Also, as a TE I can catch almost anything that is thrown my way and then look up field to gain more yards. One more thing is that I am smart, I have played linebacker for 9 years now and I know how to read and shed blocks and get to the running back or receiver. I have always loved this game and I hope I can go on to play in my future
