Levi Beckett '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Levi Beckett and I am a rising senior at Bluefield High School in Bluefield, West Virginia. I am 6' and 195 lbs. I am extremely excited that through working out very hard twice a day and becoming more flexible my 40 time now stands at a 4.41. I have played at Bluefield High School for 3 years and two of the years I started on Varsity. Two out of the three years my team has won the WV class AA state championship. My freshman year (2007), I was a backup wide receiver to a guy that started this past season, as a freshman at Western Michigan. My junior year (2009) I was the starting Quarterback on the Championship team. One of the first things that I feel I offer the team is my work ethic. I have been an Iron Beaver: this includes 40, shuttle, vertical, bench, power clean and squat, all three years I have been on my team. I was the first freshman in school history to receive this honor. And I have been the top Iron Beaver the last two years. I am as passionate about my workouts in the offseason as I am about playing on Friday night's. I have been chosen by my Head Coach to be one of the Team Captains for my senior year. I feel I offer my team a sense of calmness on the field in times of pressure, just by being the person that I am. My strongest quality is my ability to lead by example through my strong personal faith in God, character, grades in school, and being a teachable person. You will not have to worry where I am late at night or am I attending my classes. I have a purpose and a mission in life to express my gratitude to God by using the athletic and scholastic abilities He has given me. As far as where I will attend college, I am open to most options. My family has lived in several states, large and small cities. I am willing to go wherever it takes to become all that I can. I am open to different kinds of schools. I do realize that I will have a financial need in order for me to attend college. I have not decided on my course of study at this time. I have an interest in playing at the highest competitive level possible. I am open to being redshirted and playing the next season. I have a very strong interest in playing at a school that is passionate about football.
