I am passionate about sports. I have dreamed of playing college football since I was seven years old and put on my first helmet. In the past three years, playing for Greenbrier East High School, I have lettered, made travel squad for each away game, and grown in my skill level and desire to play football at the next level. I have taken advantage of other opportunities to learn and advance my skill level by participating in camps such as the Sports International Pittsburgh summer football camp. For the last two summers it was my privilege to work with a professional football player, Marcus Wheaton, in receiver drills and pass techniques. I was awarded "Most Outstanding Defensive Back" at the camp on the varsity level in 2015 and named a "Grid Iron Elite" athlete in 2016.
Academically, I have been a strong student and value my education. During my Sophomore year, I experienced some challenges with my health and career path choice. After coming down with mono in the first semester, my grades suffered and I struggled to maintain my 3.5+ average. That said, I have since changed my career path from health sciences to architecture and am once again on track academically. Last year I was honored to be one of only two Sophomores to be inducted into the Math Honor Society at Greenbrier East, and this year was selected as one of twenty-eight eligible Juniors to attend The American Legion Mountaineer Boys State leadership camp. As my Junior year comes to a close, I look forward to my Senior year and preparations for college.
Outside of football, I have interest in a variety of other outdoor activities. I participate in track, the JROTC drill team, snowboarding, martial arts, hunting and fishing. Maintaining a high level of physical fitness is of great importance to me and translates into much of my recreational time. I also enjoy spending time with family, friends, listening to music, and drawing. When needed for special events, I volunteer at Carnegie Hall, Inc. in Lewisburg, WV.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile information. I realize there are many other high school athletes with similar stats, size, and talent. If chosen to represent your school, I vow to maintain a positive "can do" attitude, perform to my best ability, and be a good role model and leader for fellow teammates.
Sincerely,
Brad Falls
