Personal Statement
My name is Ross Pflum. I am currently a Senior at Appleton East High School in Wisconsin. I love everything about the game of football! The excitement of game day, grueling workouts in the off season, being part of a team, working for a common goal and leaving it all on the field. There is nothing like it. I live for football. I have played football since I was nine years old. My plan is to go to college to pursue a Biology degree. Along with that I want to play college football. I am a dedicated student athlete, and a team leader. I am a captain of our football team for this up coming season of 2011. Unfortunately my Junior season was cut short. I broke my ankle in our fourth game. But I am as good as new! I push myself in all aspects of life, especially in training/work outs! I lift three times a week for football, and twice a week for baseball. I am 6'1, 197 lbs. I run a 4.54 40 yd dash. My verticle is 32in. I squat 485#, and bench 250#. I was top performer two out of four weeks my Junior year. I have a 3.6 GPA and I'm a member of National Honors Society. I am open to all educational opportunities, as long as I can play football!
I know that I can compete at the college level. It does not have to be at Quarterback either. At a couple of camps this summer, they had me working at Outside Linebacker. That was a blast! I love to hit! I can't wait for the upcoming season to start!
I participated in the Under Armour Combine in Chicago. My score was 272, which puts me in the top 11 for the Chicago Combine. My performance at the Combine has also provided me with an exclusive invitation to the IMG All- Madden Camp in July. The All-Madden Camp was awesome. I have also done the Jeff Trickey Quarterback camp for many years, including this year. I have been asked by Jeff Trickey to work at next years camp.
I think because of my hard work and dedication, I could be an asset to your team!
