Personal Statement
Academics have always been the top priority in my home as they are the gateway to success in athletics and life. I have positioned myself academically to be able to attend most any college, and my football goals are to play at the highest level I possibly can. Backyard football has always been a part of my life, and I began playing competitive football at the age of 7. I am dedicated to becoming the best person/athlete that I can be, and determined to make something of myself and make everyone I care about proud. I work tirelessly to achieve my dream to play college football, and to reach my full potential as an athlete and a person.
I am a multi-sport athlete, playing not only football, but hockey, track and baseball as well. This breadth of experience has helped me become a well-rounded athlete. One of the characteristics that defines me is my work ethic and love of training. I began weight training at the age of 13 and have committed myself to the weight room ever since. I am looked upon as a leader on the field and in the weight room, and strive to motivate those around me to achieve success through both word and deed. I thrive in the team atmosphere of the sports I play, and continually work to contribute to the greater good; placing team above all else.
As a sophomore I played 10 different offensive and defensive positions on the field during the season, demonstrating my adaptability and willingness to do what is needed. As a junior I started both ways in a program that strives to platoon players as much as possible, again showing my willingness and versatility as a player. It would be an honor and privilege to continue to play football at the collegiate level.
