Personal Statement
Dear Coach,
Thank you for your interest and for taking the time to review my profile.
I am a 6'1" 190 pound Senior at N.E.W. Lutheran High School. I have a strong Christian faith, and have a very strong desire to be the best that I can be. I started on the varsity team as a freshman on both sides of the ball. I was named first team All-Conference running back as a sophomore and junior, and voted Offensive MVP by my teammates and coaches. I was also selected as a team captain my junior year. As a sophomore, I rushed for 708 yards on 95 carries(7.5 yards per carry) and 18 touchdowns. As a junior, I rushed for 941 yards on 81 carries(11.62 yards per carry) and 14 touchdowns. In addition, I helped lead my team to a 2013 State championship victory, where I rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown. As a senior, I rushed for 883 yards on 73 carries(12.1 yards per carry) and 17 touchdowns. I received 1st team all-conference awards for running back and middle linebacker. I also received an honorable mention all-state award as well.
My greatest strengths are my down field vision, shiftiness, and hard running style. I also take pride in ball security, and have fumbled just once throughout my entire football career. I am a tireless worker on and off the field, and love to train in the off-season, where I spend time at the House of Speed and work out daily with my fellow teammates. I am extremely passionate about the game of football, and hate to lose.
After I graduate, I intend to play college football at the highest level I am able. I place a high value on academics, and would like to study Sports Management in college, so that I can continue to stay close to sports when I complete my education.
Best Regards,
Brett Patzke
