Personal Statement
I have always aspired to play collegiate division I level football. Playing college football is an opportunity that will put my life in a positive direction that will change my life and my family’s life. My goal is to become the best athlete and individual I can be. In addition I want to excel in the classroom. I believe that academics are key to the football field as well. A smart and devoted student in the classroom is also great on the field. I want to work hard and succeed everyday knowing that my work was worth it. I will make sacrifices in order to be fully dedicated to my academics and sports. I am a good candidate, for I strive for success and I will encourage my teammates leading to a close knit, successful team. I am a team player who always shows up with a great attitude and ready to take on the challenges I will face. I bring a positive atmosphere and lead by example. One of the strengths I have is I can execute extremely well under pressure. Every single long snap I've had in the past two years playing varsity football has been perfect. I have snapped from my own one yard line with the crowd screaming, but with tremendous discipline, I over came the adversity with a great ball. I also snap well in the terrible weather, whether it is heavy rain or extreme winds. I also pursue off the field with my academics. I have a 3.5 GPA and I am a member of the National Honor Society. I am taking four AP classes because I need to challenge myself. I want to prove to myself that I can succeed given tough classes, and I have. The classes I take in school are no different than the challenges I take in life. I enjoy challenging myself because the result is rewarding. When I fail I pick myself back up and learn from my mistakes which makes myself a better individual. The passion I carry with me drives my motivation and I want to be the best player not for me but for my team.
